Set up AI and OCR for lab uploads

Choose how uploaded lab results are read, and when a confident read may save by itself.

Useful for Clinic admin Doctor

  1. Open Clinic Settings. On General, go to Reading uploaded lab results with AI. Changes save as you make them.
  2. Set Suggest diagnoses with to The built-in rules (no AI cost) or AI (uses your AI review credits).
  3. Set Image detail sent to AI to Low (cheaper), or High (more detail) for hard-to-read uploads.
  4. Turn on Approve confident readings automatically only if clean reads may save without a person, and set How sure it must be to approve (from 0.90 to 1.00).
  5. Turn off Check the date of birth on the sheet against the patient if a missing or different date of birth should not block a review. The patient's name is still matched.
  6. AI readings per day limits how many new uploads are read in one day; Lab parsing template stays blank unless your lab's report layout has its own template.

Common questions

Does suggesting diagnoses with the built-in rules cost anything?

No. Only the AI choice uses your AI review credits.

What happens when the daily limit is reached?

New readings stop for the rest of the day as a safety limit; you can still upload files and encode them by hand.
