Issue a medical certificate, abstract, or referral

Prepare a signed document for the patient from the Medical Documents tab.

Useful for Doctor

  1. Open the patient and go to the Medical Documents tab.
  2. Choose Issue certificate (general, fit-to-work and the other kinds), Issue abstract for a clinical summary, or Issue referral for a letter to a specialist.
  3. Fill in the form. The preview shows the PDF as it will print, with your letterhead and signature.
  4. Save it. It appears in the tab, where you can Open PDF, Print, Email, Edit or Delete it later. A certificate's card under Medical History has the same Open PDF and Print, without opening the record. On a phone, Share takes the place of Print and sends it as a PDF or a picture (a certificate can also go as a link that opens for 7 days).

Common questions

How do I prepare an APE or PEME report?

On a plan with the lab system, choose APE / PEME report. It fills in from the patient's last three months and lists the newest result of each package test (CBC, urinalysis, fecalysis, blood chemistry, chest X-ray, hepatitis profile, drug test); untick any you want left out. Choose the Recommendation class (Class A and B put in their standard note), add the recommendation, and choose Create PDF. Edit on the report draws it again as its next version. Reports already issued stay on the chart, to open and print, if the clinic moves to a plan without the lab system; making or changing one needs it. Delete on a report takes it off the documents (a doctor can do that on any plan); the PDF file is kept.

How do I mark findings on an eye or body diagram?

Choose Diagram note and pick the template (the eye, OD and OS, or the body, front and back). Click the picture to drop a numbered point, then name it and add a note; a Quick label names the chosen point in one click, and Add keeps a finding of your own for the whole clinic. Save draft or Finalize; each save draws the PDF again. The template cannot be changed once the note is saved.
