Refer a clinic and pay less
Share your link: every clinic that signs up and keeps paying takes money off your own plan, until it is free.
Useful for Clinic admin Doctor
- Open Clinic Settings and go to Referrals. Your referral link and code are at the top; choose Copy link.
- Send the link to a doctor or a clinic. The signup page tells them a DokEMR clinic referred them, and they get 10% off their first monthly payment.
- Under Clinics you referred you see each clinic, where it stands (On trial, Paying, Not paying or Closed) and what it takes off your plan.
- Every referred clinic that is paying takes off 10% of the lower of the two plans' prices (yours and theirs). There is no limit on how many clinics, and once they cover the whole price your plan is free.
- The discount is worked out each time you pay or renew. The Plan tab shows what it takes off beside each plan's price and on the pending request.
Common questions
How much does each clinic take off?
10% of the lower of the two plans' prices. A Solo clinic you refer takes off 10% of Solo's price, whatever plan you are on; a Clinic Pro clinic you refer takes off 10% of Solo's price if you are on Solo, and 10% of Clinic Pro's if you are on Clinic Pro. A clinic that upgrades takes off more from your next payment.
How many clinics do I need to make my plan free?
Enough to add up to your plan's price. On Solo or Duo that is 10 clinics on a plan like yours or higher; on Clinic Pro it is 10 clinics on Clinic Pro, or more clinics on cheaper plans (for example 25 on Duo). The Referrals tab shows how much of your plan they cover.
When does my discount start?
Once a clinic you referred has paid for its plan, it counts the next time you pay or renew. Before that it shows as On trial or Trial ended and takes nothing off.
A clinic I referred stopped paying.
It stops counting at your next payment, so your discount goes down by what it took off. It counts again once it pays.
My plan is free. Do I still renew it?
Yes: choose Renew on the Plan tab from 14 days before the plan ends. When the discount covers the whole price, it renews right away with no payment.
Can I refer another clinic of my own?
No. A clinic whose owner has the same email or mobile number as someone in your clinic is not counted as a referral.
Our plan is complimentary. Do referrals change what we pay?
No. A complimentary plan has no end date and nothing to renew, so there is nothing for referrals to take off. You can still share your link, and the clinic you refer gets its 10% off its first month.
