Repeat a prescription or lab order

Reuse an earlier prescription or lab order for a refill or follow-up instead of typing it again.

Useful for Doctor Clinic admin

  1. For a prescription, open the patient's Prescriptions tab and choose Prescribe again beside the earlier one. For labs, open the Lab Orders tab and choose Order again beside the earlier order.
  2. The form opens already filled in: the medicines (with the regulated and no-refill choices), or the tests with their clinical impression and remarks.
  3. Change anything that is different this time: a dose, a quantity, a test to add or drop. Nothing is saved until you save.
  4. Save. The new record is dated today and the original stays as it was.
