Limit what each staff role can open

Hide areas of the app from the roles that do not need them.

Useful for Clinic admin Doctor

  1. Open Clinic Settings and go to Role access. It is there once the clinic has more than one user (Duo and Clinic Pro, or extra seats on Solo); a clinic with a single user does not see the tab.
  2. Each column is a staff role that has an active account in your clinic; each row is an Area of the app.
  3. Choose a cell to switch that area off or back on for the role. Turning an area off hides it everywhere: its side bar item and its tab on a patient chart.
  4. Reset a role to undo all of its changes (it asks first).

Common questions

I turned an area on but the role still cannot see it.

Role access can only take access away. A role never gets something its own role does not already allow.

A role has no column.

A role appears once it has an active account. Add one in People.
